Sarah AshworthAssistant Actuary Sarah Ashworth has been with Richard Sherman & Associates, Inc., since 2000. Ms. Ashworth has worked with over 25 clients, ranging from cities and municipalities to state-wide insurance funds and national insurance companies. Her work experience has included assisting with reserve analyses, cost allocation reports, rate filings and self-insured feasibility studies. She currently holds the position of “Assistant Actuary.” Ms. Ashworth has successfully completed the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams covering Probability, Calculus, Interest Theory, Finance and Economics. Her technology skills include development of reports using Affinity actuarial software, forecasting using Crystal Ball simulation software, database management, and Excel spreadsheet management. Ms. Ashworth graduated from Southern Oregon University in June 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. She consistently achieved academic honors and maintained a G.P.A. of 3.96. Sarah completed numerous courses in applied mathematics and statistics. Sarah was not only awarded the outstanding student in Mathematics as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior, but she was also awarded many campus-wide scholarships, including the Laurel Scholarship.
